Every occasion knows its own shape
A blank prompt box cannot tell you what you forgot to include. Each of the 21 occasions carries the order a good version of that piece goes in — and that structure is what decides the questions the form asks you and the order the draft comes back in. Three of them, as the app holds them:
Frame the value and scope first → state the price in the context of the outcome → what’s included, to pre-empt the obvious questions → validity or timeline → a frictionless next step to confirm.
Price after value, not before it — and the scope stated well enough that the follow-up questions never get asked.
Own it plainly in the first line, no excuses → name the specific impact on them → the concrete remedy → a goodwill gesture and how it won’t recur → close on accountability, not an excuse.
The two mistakes people actually make — burying the apology and closing on a justification — are designed out.
A gentle opening and who you are to them → who they were, anchored in specific qualities → a memory that captures them → what their life meant and what they’d want remembered → a tender, dignified close.
It asks for a memory, because a eulogy built from adjectives is the one everyone regrets.

It runs on Apple Intelligence unless you choose Claude for it in Settings › AI Features. On Apple Intelligence, what you type is processed on your iPhone or on Apple's Private Cloud Compute. On Claude, it is sent to Anthropic.
No — anything specific it wasn’t told comes back as a bracketed placeholder rather than a plausible-looking fact.
For a eulogy and an apology the rule is stricter still: the draft may contain only what you actually provided, with no illustrative detail added at all. Those are the two occasions where an invention would be unforgivable, so they are handled differently on purpose.
On a device with Apple Intelligence, nothing — AI Writer runs on Apple Intelligence with no API key, so it works the moment you open it. On a device without Apple Intelligence it runs on Claude, once you add AI Credit or your own Anthropic API key.
