Friendly all-rounder that helps craft engaging messages that build meaningful connections.
Use it for: When you just want a sensible default.
A factual reference: feature support per platform, the full Skill library, prompt-writing best practices, all 21 AI Tools, every Apple Shortcuts action, and a side-by-side of Apple Intelligence and Claude.
Both WhatsApp and Telegram use on-device connections — messages go straight from your device to the network, never through our servers. Most features behave identically across both.

Inline translation across every message type — text, captions, link previews, transcripts, and interactive messages. If it has text, it can be translated. 20+ languages, entirely on-device.
On-device transcription — voice messages, videos, video notes, and audio files. Natively supports over 30 languages and dialects.
Tap “View replies” to see every response to a message in one place. Replies to replies are automatically grouped into the same thread — just like the official apps. Works across WhatsApp and Telegram group chats.
Tap and hold any message to react. Reactions sync both ways with WhatsApp and Telegram, with full emoji support and per-person counts.
Send texts, photos, polls, events, and more at a time you choose — to one recipient or many. Telegram messages are delivered server-side at the exact second. WhatsApp messages are sent on-device via iOS background tasks.
Happy Friday {recipientFirstName}! Reminder that standup moves to 10 AM next week.

|---|---|---|
| How it works | On-device — AI Reply Assistant stores the message locally and sends it via an iOS background task at the scheduled time | Server-side — AI Reply Assistant uploads the message to Telegram's servers, which deliver it at the exact scheduled time |
| Timing precision | Best-effort — iOS decides when to wake the app. Keep AI Reply Assistant in the background for best results | Exact — Telegram's servers deliver at the scheduled second, regardless of your device |
| Works if phone is off or offline | No — the message queues and sends as soon as the app next runs | Yes — the message is already on Telegram's servers |
| Fallback notification | Yes — you receive a notification at the scheduled time with a "Send Now" button | Informational only — a notification confirms the message was delivered |
| Send options (long-press send button) | Schedule Message | Schedule Message, Send Silently (no notification to recipient) |
Personalised message templates you write once and send to anyone. Variables like{recipientName} and {currentDate} fill in automatically, so every reply feels personal without manual editing. Includes media attachments and one-tap sending from Widgets and Control Center. AI-powered generation available on iOS 26.
Write a template once and personalise it for every recipient. Variables resolve automatically at send time — so “Hi {recipientFirstName}, thanks for reaching out” becomes “Hi Sarah, thanks for reaching out” without any manual editing. Use them in message text and media captions.
| Variable | Resolves to |
|---|---|
| {recipientName} | Full name of the recipient |
| {recipientFirstName} | First name only |
| {currentDate} | Today's date at send time |
| {currentTime} | Current time at send time |
| {recipientPhone} | Recipient's phone number |
| {businessName} | Your business name (set in Settings) |
Each Skill is a saved AI personality — a complete knowledge package with its own voice, tone, and system prompt. Pick one for the relationship, create your own, or import from the marketplace. Every Skill has five tone sliders (creativity, formality, directness, empathy, length), sampling controls, and optional Knowledge Base support.
AI Reply Assistant includes a built-in Skills Marketplace powered by SkillsMP, giving you access to over a million community-created Skills. Browse by category, preview a Skill, and import it into your library with one tap.
Open the Skills Marketplace from your Skill library and explore by category or keyword.
Read the Skill's description, instructions, and author before importing.
Tap Import — the Skill appears in your library instantly, ready to use.
Adjust tone, creativity, formality, or edit the system prompt to make it your own.
Sales, marketing, finance, and project management.
Writing, design, documents, and content creation.
Knowledge bases, technical docs, and educational material.
LLM prompts, machine learning, and data analysis.
Wellness, writing, philosophy, arts, and culinary.
Academic, scientific computing, and lab tools.
Privacy
Imported Skills run locally in AI Reply Assistant just like built-in Skills. The marketplace is only used for browsing and downloading the Skill definition — no message data is ever shared.
A Skill's system prompt is the single biggest lever you have over how the AI replies. These best practices are drawn from Apple's Foundation Models documentation and Anthropic's prompt engineering guide — adapted for AI Reply Assistant's messaging context.
Write short, specific instructions. Tell the AI exactly what you want — don't hint or imply. If a colleague reading your prompt would be confused, the AI will be too.
You are a concise, professional assistant. Reply in 1–2 sentences using a warm but businesslike tone.
Be kinda professional but also friendly, you know? Just make it sound good and not too long or short.
Start with "You are..." to set the role (what the AI does) and persona (how it behaves). This focuses the tone and vocabulary of every reply.
You are a customer-support specialist who is patient, empathetic, and solution-focused.
Help me reply to messages nicely.
Positive instructions ("use casual language") are more reliable than negative ones ("don't be formal"). The AI follows what you ask for better than what you tell it to avoid.
Use short, casual sentences. Address the person by their first name.
Don't be too formal. Don't use long sentences. Don't forget their name.
Apple's on-device model has a smaller context window. Keep your system prompt concise — a few focused sentences outperform a wall of text. Save longer, more detailed prompts for Claude.
You are a friendly travel advisor. Suggest one practical option and keep replies under three sentences.
You are a world-class travel consultant with 20 years of experience across 50 countries who specialises in luxury, budget, adventure, and family travel, and you should always consider dietary restrictions, accessibility needs, time zones, visa requirements...
Give the AI one or two example replies so it can see the format, length, and style you want. This is one of the most reliable ways to steer output.
Example reply: "Thanks for checking in! I'm free Thursday after 3 — want to grab coffee at the usual place?"
Reply in a natural way that sounds human.
If you write your prompt in a casual, upbeat voice, the AI mirrors that energy. If your prompt is stiff and formal, the replies will be too. Write the way you want the AI to sound.
Keep it breezy and fun — like texting your best mate. Throw in the occasional emoji.
The assistant shall generate responses that are informal in nature and may optionally include emoji characters.
Telling the AI why you need a certain style helps it generalise better. A short reason is more effective than a rigid rule.
Keep replies under two sentences — the recipient reads on a small screen and skims quickly.
Maximum 2 sentences.
AI Reply Assistant's five tone sliders (creativity, formality, directness, empathy, length) automatically adjust the prompt behind the scenes. Don't re-explain what a slider already covers — focus your system prompt on unique details the sliders can't express, like domain knowledge, jargon, or relationship context.
You know the recipient is a first-generation university student — celebrate their wins without being patronising.
Be moderately formal, fairly empathetic, somewhat creative, and medium length.
Quick-start template
Not sure where to begin? Start with this and customise from there:
Example: “You are a supportive running coach who celebrates small wins. Reply in 1–2 sentences using an encouraging voice. The recipient just started training for their first 5K.”

How does this compare?
WhatsApp offers no native Shortcuts actions on iOS. Telegram exposes only basic Send Message and Open Chat. AI Reply Assistant provides 22 actions — including 7 Find queries with full filter, sort, and limit controls — making it the most comprehensive Shortcuts integration for any messaging app on iOS.
Apple Intelligence is integrated into the core of AI Reply Assistant through on-device processing. With Claude, you get even more expertise when it might be helpful for you — deeper reasoning, longer context, and multi-step tasks with 22 tools. You control when Claude is used. Switch per chat in Settings.
